![]() The apparent earphones are a road (Township Road 123A) and an oil well, which were installed in the early 2000s and are expected to disappear once the project is abandoned. Additional human-made structures have been said to resemble a pair of earphones worn by the figure. Viewed from the air, the feature has been said to resemble a human head wearing a full Indigenous type of headdress, facing directly westward. The feature was discovered in 2005 by Lynn Hickox through use of Google Earth. The Badlands Guardian is a geomorphological feature located near Medicine Hat in the southeast corner of Alberta, Canada. After the update, enemies would alternate in spawn points between the paths.Badlands Guardian in 1938, before the creation of the road that resembles the earphones Like every other map with two paths, all enemies (including major bosses) used to spawn twice prior to the Frost Invasion Update. This map was later remade in the Overhaul Update.Unlike many other maps that existed prior to the MEGA Update, this map was not remade or removed, even though it had a blocky look. The bank in Badlands was called "Le Bank".Additionally, in the second version of this map, a sign by the cave entrance read "Dusty Bridges", a reference to a map of the same name.On the railroad bridge above the cave path, a minecart would appear with a humanoid ( Your_Adversary) inside it. In the second version of this map, an Easter egg could be seen periodically.A dead Cowboy's skeleton could be seen in the hills, as well as a cactus with a cowboy hat.Gurt could be seen by the railroad bridge.A cowboy emoji could also be seen on the side of a building. An anime picture could be seen on the side of one of the cliffs. There were many Easter eggs in original version of Badlands.Currently, only Badlands II map can award the Cowboy. End of the Line also awarded the Cowboy prior to the map's removal. This was the first non-event map to reward a tower upon triumph, that being the Cowboy. The cave path of this map was the shortest path in the game.Prior to the Overhaul Update, units, like the Tank, only went to the cave entrance. This map was likely named after Badlands national park in South Dakota, USA.Therefore, relying on them is not recommended, especially for the early game, as they are inconsistent and may not go down the required path. The same thing applies to the Crook Boss's and Golden Crook Boss's minions. Remember that, if you use the Military Base, only one unit will spawn from it, which will go down a random path. ![]() It is recommended to memorize which entrance important enemies like the first Giant Boss spawn in order to prepare for them on the correct path. Most of the major bosses spawn at the cave entrance.Enemies are not doubled, though you will need more towers to cover all the places where the enemies spawn. This means that every enemy spawned alternates between the entrances. This includes knowing who defends each entrance as it is often wise to divide into two teams defending each entrance. Be sure to communicate with your teammates, if you have any.Do not rely solely on the point where the paths intersect as it may be very difficult to kill high health or fast enemies due to the lack of path remaining. ![]() ![]() There are three optimal spots to place ground towers, the first two bends on both the paths and the point where both paths intersect.A well-placed DJ Booth near the intersection of the paths is recommended as the towers located here can reach a good part of the map.Minigunners, Accelerators, Engineers and Turrets are also recommended due to their high DPS.Due to their abilities to buff towers or slow down enemies, the Commander, Freezer, Electroshocker and Toxic Gunner are recommended as this map is relatively short. However, there are very few good cliff spots on this map, especially for the cave entrance. ![]()
